THE BERKSHIRES — Year’s ago BFF founder and co-publisher Kelly McIlquham was introduced to Don Jordan and his Nutshell Playhouse’s “Pirates” while writing a story for a local publication. Her, then, elementary-aged children, laughed at the swashbuckling humor and marveled at the playful and colorful set design and props.
Kelly has continued to follow Nutshell Playhouse through the years and was recently approached by Don about reviewing his new CD “We’re Here.” She passed it on to our resident BFF kid testers 3-year-old Lauren and Christopher, and this is what their mom, BFF co-publisher, Mary George said:
“Don Jordan & the Nutshell Playhouse Band’s ‘We’re Here’ is a smart collection of silly pirate songs that’s guaranteed to have your young scallywags and buccaneers shaking their booties and practicing their pirate lingo. Though some of the blimey humor in a few of the songs may be lost on younger kids, my preschoolers are obsessed with “The Me Song” (which they each firmly believe is about themselves).”
Want to hear for yourselves? We are giving away one copy of the CD “We’re Here.” All you have to do to enter is type ENTER ME in the comment section below by Thursday, April 12, at 11:59 EST.
