LANESBOROUGH — Bradley Farms and Healing Winds are coming together for three consecutive weekends in October to offer entertaining, educational and cultural Halloween/Fall family fun in Lanesborough in the form of a Pumpkin Fest.
The Pumpkin Fest will run from noon to 5 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays, Oct. 13, 14, 20, 21, 27 and 28, and 5 to 7 p.m. on Halloween, Wednesday, Oct. 31. Activities will include music and puppet performances, arts and crafts, storytelling, demonstrations, food and more (See schedule of activities and performance here).
The Pumpkin Fest also will host a Scariest Pumpkin Contest in which visitors can enter carved, painted, beaded or any other type of decorated pumpkin in the contest leading up to Oct. 31. The pumpkins will be on display in a special Hoop House Pumpkin Gallery so the public and local judges can vote. The winners will be selected on Halloween night, October 31, during a children’s Halloween activity at Bradley Farm from 4 to 7 p.m. The cash awards are $100 for first place, $50 for second place and $25 for third. Pumpkins of all sizes and shapes are available for purchase at the farm.
